Senator Hillary Rodham ClintonLarkin at Exchange 726 Exchange StreetSuite 511Buffalo, NY 14210
Dear Hillary Clinton,
My name is Crystal and I am a high school student, living in Southfield, Michigan. As most of America knows, you are a real busy woman, who is dealing with a lot of things such as being a senator for New York, and running for president. But I feel that I should inform you about the affects of global warming and how it is affecting the United State and the whole world too. It has been said that over the last 50 years global warming has increased tremendously and has become a major world epidemic. Things such as animals’ habitat and the global temperature have been affected. Other things like the polar ice cap in the Artic have melted, which have caused an increase of floods (Hurricane Katrina for example.). Even with these problems, there are plethora of ways to fix this issue.
The main point I want to get across is that there is too much carbon dioxide in the air, and that is because people are only driving one person to a car. With that being said, I feel we need to get global warming more in the public’s eye. We need to be aware of what’s going on with our planet and we need to do more things to decrease this awful habit. It would be nice if there could be more commercials, and advertisements like there are for alcohol, for something important like global warming. Other ways that you could help this problem is to insist on tabulating what we recycle. We should have the American public recycle not just cans, but boxes, paper, and plastic. We need to increase this because those objects are taking up space in landfills and those are taking more than 5 years to decompose.
Again, we need to just increase knowledge about global warming, and just expand the way we save energy and gas. More and more people are not caring anymore and we need for them to care for the sake of the world, and future generations to come. I would like to thank you for reading this and taking the time to at least have this on your mind for a minute. Thank you for your time and good luck with your politic life.
Sincerely,
Crystal
